This is a backpack AND a cooler in one - and the cooler section on the bottom is removable...
How cool is this bag? Read on:
The top section is for dry good (chips, snack bars, etc.) Or for your shoes, wallet, books and so on. The top section has a front pocket that can hold extras. A sturdy rubber handle on top and there are padded backpack straps and a padded back - making this very comfy to carry on your back.
An inside pocket to hold your valuables or whatever else too.
Now the bottom section - the bottom section is a cooler (insulated). It attaches to the top section with a zipper. Once you unzip the top section you have a lunch cooler with a top handle, insulated inside section, a small ice-pack holder - not included (the medium ones will be ideal). Also, a small front zippered pocket for extras. The insulated section holds from 8-12 (12oz) cans. 8 cans standing upright and the others on it's side. This gives you an idea of the inside capacity of this cooler.

How many sections does this bag have?
There are 2 compartments. The top section holds dry foods and the bottom compartment which is the insulated AND removable to hold foods/drinks.
How does this close?
Both sections have zipper closures.
How does the top part detach from the bottom. Is it easy?
It unzips from the back. It's quite easy. After a couple of tries you will be able to zip and unzip like a pro.
Have these coolers been tested for lead?
Yes, the cooler section of this bag has been tested and the manufacturers have been advised that these items have passed the lead test.
Can I put loose ice in the cooler section
No. No loose ice. Please use ice packs.
Ice packs are available in many different sizes and styles and can be found under our Reusable Hot & Cold Gel Ice Packs. Medium size will fit the cooler section of this bag. To make your own, simply fill a large, air tight, waterproof plastic ziplock bag with clean water and freeze.
We suggest that you DO NOT put loose ice in the food coolers.
