We suggest not putting loose ice in the insulated cooler section - the reason for this is simple, ice melts faster and makes the ice chest cooler heavier than needs be. Ice packs are available in many different sizes and styles. To make your own, simply fill a large, air tight, waterproof plastic ziplock bag with clean water and freeze.
We have been asked how long food and/or beverages stay cold/hot. The answer
is: it depends. Your cooler should last most of the day, obviously the way
you pack your cooler and how many times you open your cooler will determine how
long your items will stay hot/cold.
