Why do you suggest NOT putting loose ice into the cooler? What ice packs should I use?
The reason for this is simple, loose ice melts faster and makes the ice chest cooler heavy, thus misshaping the bag over time. Also, the sharp edges of the ice may puncture holes and cause leaks.
Can food be kept warm in these coolers as well as cold?
Yes, insulation can be used for both hot or cold (not together). To keep foods warm, we highly recommend using ice-paks/hot-paks (please read instructions on heating). A couple of tips to keep your food warm - once food has been heated wrap in tin foil, then place inside cooler (if you have room, wrap again with a kitchen towel to keep in the heat). Place hot-paks on top. Again, try to fill any spaces with kitchen towels.
Can I just buy one cooler or do I have to buy in bulk?
You can buy one cooler or as many as you like.
Are these coolers lead free?
The liner section of this bag has been tested and have been advised that these items are below the standard acceptable level.
